GoodTrades connects homeowners with tradespeople. We check company details and get in touch if we have questions, and gas work needs a Gas Safe registration we have checked against the register. Posting a job is free, and you are never obliged to accept a quote.

Why we exist

Finding a tradesperson you can trust is one of the few remaining purchases most people make almost blind. You are letting a stranger into your home, often at short notice, often for a lot of money, usually on a recommendation you cannot verify. We think that is solvable with better checks and honest reviews.

How we make money

Homeowners never pay us. Tradespeople pay to take a job they want to quote on, which is why we cap the number who can take the same job. A job that only two or three other people are chasing is worth paying for, and it means your phone does not ring all week.

What we will not do

We will not sell your details to anyone other than the tradespeople you are matched with. We will not publish a review from someone who did not post the job here. We will not let a trade quote for gas work without a valid Gas Safe registration.
