Gary came out and gave a clear, knowledgeable quote for lime repointing the stone wall and piecing-in the cracked lintel - he clearly knows traditional stonework and talked me through why lime rather than cement is the right approach. He turned up on time and was easy to deal with. We have not hired anyone yet as we are still comparing a couple of quotes, but this was a helpful and fairly priced one.

Kitchen Worktops - Stone

The finished worktop looks great - Gary templated carefully and the quartz was fitted with a really neat undermount sink cut-out. The only downside was that the fitting day slipped by about a week because of a delay getting the slab in, and one of the joints could be a touch tighter if I am being picky. Otherwise tidy work, friendly and straightforward to deal with, and fair on price. Happy overall.

You're right about the fitting day - the slab supplier delay set us back about a week, and that's on me to chase suppliers harder and give you a more realistic date up front. I'm really pleased the templating and undermount cut-out came out well. On that one joint, I'd genuinely like to pop back and ease it for you if you'll have me - just say the word and I'll sort a time. Thanks again for having us.

Flat Roof - Installation / Repair

Gary stripped off the old blistered felt, replaced a few rotten deck boards he found underneath, and laid a new GRP fibreglass roof to a lovely clean, watertight finish. He turned up when he said he would, kept everything tidy and cleared away all the old material, and the final price came in exactly as quoted. Really pleased - the garage and extension roofs look spot on. Would happily recommend.
