Very disappointing. Declan took the job and we agreed by message he would call round to look at the towel rail and extra radiator. He gave me a morning slot, I took time off work, and nobody showed up and no phone call. I chased twice and got one vague reply saying he would rearrange, then nothing at all since. I have been left waiting with the job no further on. Cannot recommend on this experience.

A bit of a mixed experience. Declan came out to look at the roofline and was pleasant enough on the day, but it took a couple of chases to actually get the written quote through. When it arrived the price for the full uPVC replacement felt on the steep side compared with others I got, and there was not much detail on the soffit vents I had asked about. No complaints about him personally, but I did not go ahead in the end.

Thanks for the fair feedback, Ronan, and sorry the quote took a couple of chases to reach you - that is on me and something I am tightening up. You are right that I could have spelled out the soffit vent options more clearly too. On price, I would always rather be upfront about a full timber replacement than come in low and cut corners, but I completely understand shopping around. No hard feelings at all, and if the roofline ever needs another look the door is open. Declan, Bann Valley.

Oil-Fired Boiler

Absolutely first class from start to finish. Declan surveyed the job quickly, talked me through moving to a condensing oil boiler and relocating it externally, and fitted a new tank and Tigerloop. OFTEC commissioning was done properly and I got my CD/10 certificate on the day. Tidy, punctual, fair price and the heating has never run better. Would recommend Bann Valley to anyone.
