Dave built us a lovely set of alcove units either side of the chimney breast - shelves up top, cupboards below, just as we discussed. The painted finish matches our woodwork really well and you'd never know it wasn't original to the house. He turned up when he said he would, kept the mess to a minimum, and the price he quoted is the price we paid, no surprises. Would definitely have him back for other jobs.
