Daniel came out and gave a clear, itemised quote for sweeping both flues and fitting the cowl, and he clearly knew his stuff — he talked me through the cowl options and the roof access without any fuss. I haven't hired anyone yet as I'm still comparing a couple of quotes, but he was straightforward and easy to deal with. The price seemed reasonable, just want to be sure before I commit.

The charger itself works really well and is neatly mounted on the driveway wall, and it's been faultless since. Two things kept it from full marks though: Daniel arrived quite a bit later than the time we'd agreed on the day, and the cable run along the wall ended up more visible than I'd hoped rather than being tucked away. The unit is good and the price was fair, just a slightly less tidy finish and timekeeping than I expected.

Damp Proofing

Daniel did an excellent job on our rising damp. He injected a new chemical damp-proof course and replastered the wall neatly right up to the old tide-mark, and you honestly can't tell where the damage was. He left the dining room spotless, the price came in exactly as quoted, and the wall has stayed completely dry since. Couldn't ask for more.
