Dean came back with a quote for supplying and fitting a video doorbell and was polite and responsive over messages. The price felt a touch higher than I expected for a fairly simple wired install, so I'm weighing it up against another quote before deciding. No work done yet.

Thanks for considering us and for the easy back-and-forth - I completely understand weighing up quotes. On the price: a wired video doorbell is not quite a straight swap. It covers safe isolation at the consumer unit, checking your existing transformer and chime are compatible (and swapping if not), tidy cable runs and making good afterwards, plus setup and testing. Happy to talk through any line of it. If it helps, I can hold a firm fit date next week and honour this quote. No pressure either way - thanks again. - Dean

The new artificial grass looks a lot better than the old patchy lawn and Dean was friendly and easy to deal with. That said, the job ran a day over and there's a visible seam down the middle where two rolls meet that I wish had been hidden better. Decent result overall but not perfect for the price.

Thank you for the honest feedback - it is fair. Two things I want to own: the job running a day over, and that centre seam. On a job like this the join between rolls should be effectively invisible, and yours is not, so that is on me. I would like to come back and put it right - lift and re-join the seam with fresh tape and adhesive, trim and blend the fibres over it and brush up so it disappears. I should also have flagged the timing sooner. Glad it already beats the old lawn; let me finish it to the standard it should be. - Dean

Dean sorted the dripping kitchen tap quickly and cleanly. Turned up when he said he would, had the right cartridge with him, and left everything tidy. Only tiny niggle was a little water on the floor while he worked, otherwise faultless. Would use again.
