Took the job for the bathroom extractor fan then never showed. We agreed a morning slot, nobody turned up and no message. I chased twice about the timer/humidistat fan and ducting and got no reply. Left me waiting and had to start again with someone else. Disappointing.

I am sorry, Rosalind - missing the morning appointment without letting you know is not the standard I hold, and I completely understand your frustration at being left waiting and having to chase. There is no excuse for the missed slot or the silence, and I apologise. If you have not finalised things with the other firm, I would genuinely welcome the chance to put it right and fit the humidistat fan and ducting at a time that suits you. Came out and gave a quote for the hot tub base and electrics. Turned up roughly on time and were pleasant enough, but the quote came back higher than others and they were a bit slow following up my questions about the RCD spur and Part P. Ended up not going ahead with them.

You are right that our quote came in above others and that I was slower than I should have been coming back on the RCD spur and Part P points - that is on me and I will tighten up my turnaround. The figure reflected a fully reinforced base and a dedicated certified circuit, but I appreciate that was not the right fit this time. Sorry it did not work out, and thank you for giving us the chance to quote.
