Gareth was quick to get in touch and we arranged a day for him to come and look at the garden, which was promising. Unfortunately he never turned up on the agreed day and didn't send a word to say why, and I've heard nothing since despite following up. I can't fairly comment on his work as none was done, but being left waiting with no message was a let-down.

Marcus, you are completely right and I am sorry. We arranged a day for me to look at the garden and I did not turn up, and I did not message you or reply when you followed up. That is not how I want to treat anyone and there is no excuse for it. I would genuinely like to put it right if you will have me, and come when it actually suits you to get the clearance and turf done properly. Either way, I am sorry for messing you about. Gareth came out promptly to measure up, brought a colour card and talked me through the prep — filling and making good first, then a primer coat and two topcoats to cover the dark walls. He was easy to deal with and clearly knew his stuff, and the written quote was clear about exactly what was included. I haven't made a decision yet as I'm still comparing a couple of quotes, but he made a good impression.

Gareth came round exactly when he said he would and sorted both problems in the one visit — replaced the cartridge in the kitchen mixer so the drip has stopped, and cleared the blockage in the bath waste so it drains properly again. A really tidy worker who left everything clean, and the price was fair and exactly what he quoted. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again.
