Rob got back to me and sent a quote for the three fence panels. He seemed straight and easy enough to deal with, but the price came in a bit higher than a couple of other quotes and it took a few days to arrive. Haven't booked him in yet - still deciding.

Thanks for considering the quote, Hakon, and no pressure at all. The price covers pressure-treated feather-edge panels, all fixings, and taking the old panels away so there is nothing left for you to clear - things cheaper quotes sometimes leave out. Apologies it took a few days to reach you; I was finishing another job. If you would like to talk it through or tweak the spec, I am glad to. Either way, good luck getting it sorted.

The new consumer unit itself is a tidy, professional job and the certificate came through fine. Only downside was he arrived about two hours later than agreed with no call, and left a fair bit of dust and old cable offcuts in the hallway cupboard for me to clear. Good work in the end, just let down slightly on timekeeping and clean-up.

Thank you for the fair and honest review, Hakon. You are right about the two hours - I should have called the moment I was running behind, and that is on me. Leaving offcuts and dust in the cupboard is not my standard either; I would normally sheet up and clear away fully. I am glad the unit and certificate hit the mark. I would happily pop back to give that cupboard a proper clean at no charge. Lesson taken on the timekeeping.

Rob changed all our locks the day after moving in. Turned up on time, keyed everything alike so we only carry one key now, and cleaned up after himself. Quick, friendly and reassuring after a stressful move. Would use again.
