A bit of a mixed experience. Daniel came to look at the cellar and clearly knew his stuff on cavity-drain membranes versus tanking, and was perfectly pleasant. But it took a couple of chases to actually get the written quote, and when it came it was noticeably higher than others I'd had and fairly light on detail - no clear breakdown of the sump/pump or the guarantee I'd asked about. Decided not to go ahead in the end. Fine to deal with, just not the value or follow-through I was hoping for.

Thanks for the honest feedback, Eleanor, and I am sorry it fell short. You are right the quote took too long and you should not have had to chase - that one is on me, and I have since tightened up how quickly we turn surveys into written quotes. I take the point it was light on detail too: a cellar like yours deserves a clear breakdown of the membrane, sump and pump, and the guarantee, and I should have set that out. If you ever revisit it, I would welcome the chance to put a fuller, itemised quote in front of you. Either way, thanks for having me look. Daniel.

Absolutely delighted. Daniel from Solent & Downs came out, talked me through cutting into the lower uPVC panel versus a wall tunnel, and did a beautifully neat job in the panel with a proper draught seal all round. Turned up bang on time, dust sheets down, cleared up completely, and the cat took to the SureFlap straight away. Fair price and lovely to deal with - would use again without hesitation.
