Sadly this one didn't work out. Gavin replied promptly at first and we arranged a survey visit to look at the loft cable routes, but on the agreed day he simply didn't turn up. I followed up a couple of times to reschedule and heard nothing back. The early messages were friendly and knowledgeable, which made it all the more disappointing — to be fair I can't comment on his actual work as none was done, but the no-show and going quiet let it down.

Really pleased with the gates and railings themselves. Gavin made and fitted a lovely pair of bespoke wrought-iron driveway gates with matching railings, galvanised and powder-coated black exactly as we discussed — the workmanship is excellent. Two small things kept it from full marks: the fitting was a few days later than promised, and one hinge needed adjusting on a return visit. He sorted the hinge without fuss and the end result is smart and solid. Would still recommend.

Absolutely first class from start to finish. Gavin supplied and installed our 6-person hot tub on the patio and sorted the outdoor RCD electrical hook-up really neatly and safely. He turned up when he said, left everything spotless, and the final price was exactly as quoted with no surprises. The tub has been running perfectly since — couldn't recommend Thornbury Trades highly enough.
