Disappointing. Gemma took the job and we exchanged messages about automating our timber driveway gates, and we agreed she would come out to survey. She never turned up on the agreed day and didn't call or message to explain or rearrange. I chased once and heard nothing back. Wasted the best part of a week waiting. I can't comment on the actual workmanship because it never got that far, but on reliability and communication it fell well short of what I'd expect.

You should have had me there, or at the very least a call to rearrange, and that did not happen. I completely understand the frustration. A bit of a mixed experience. Gemma turned up for the survey a day later than we'd first agreed, though she did message to rearrange. She was pleasant enough and clearly knew about spray foam, and explained how she'd strip the open-cell foam off the rafters. However the written quote took over a week to arrive despite chasing, and when it came it was noticeably higher than a couple of others we'd had and didn't clearly break down the disposal and making-good. In the end we decided to go elsewhere. Fine to deal with, but the follow-through and pricing let it down.

You're right that the survey slipped a day and the written quote took too long to reach you - that is on us, and we have since tightened how quickly quotes go out. The price reflected full hand-stripping and licensed disposal, but I take the point it should have broken those costs and the making-good out clearly. Absolutely first class from start to finish. Gemma came out promptly to survey, talked me through the hearth build-up and clearances, and fitted a beautiful 5kW stove with a new flexible flue liner up the old chimney. Left the room spotless every day, kept me updated, and handed over the HETAS certificate and building control paperwork without me having to chase. Fair price for the quality of work. The lounge is transformed and toasty. Would recommend Trentside to anyone.
